Dr. Ken Morgan obtained degrees in geology, environmental engineering and resource management before starting his career as a professor at TCU in 1978. In 1981, he started and became Director of the TCU Center for Remote Sensing and Energy Research for energy resource mapping. Dr. Morgan has lectured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East about resource mapping, energy technology and emerging natural gas markets. In 2008, he founded and became Director of the TCU Energy Institute and established an Advisory Board of 24 energy companies.

Dr. Morgan is also the Director of TCU’s new School of Geology, Energy and The Environment. Ken has published numerous articles on the potential use of domestic natural gas in the U.S. He currently chairs the Texas “Metroplex NGV Consortium” of over 160 companies and helped lead the successful legislation for the Texas NGV Transportation Triangle, Texas Senate Bill SB-20. He recently met with General Dempsey, Chair, Joint Chiefs of Staff to discuss using more domestic natural gas at U.S. military installations. Ken also enjoys driving a Honda GX-NGV to help promote the use of clean burning natural gas.

Mr. Thigpen is the CEO and Founder of Thigpen Energy, which is a premier service provider in natural gas fueling solutions. His range of experience includes the operation of cryogenic process plants, LNG liquefaction facilities and natural gas pipeline infrastructure. Additionally, he has developed solutions for NGV fueling infrastructure and high horsepower natural gas fueling systems. After various roles in oilfield service and facility operations, Mr. Thigpen left corporate America to pursue a career as an energy industry entrepreneur in 2005.

Mr. Thigpen studied business at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. He is also a Board of Director for the Gulf Coast Gas Measurement Society, life member of MENSA, life member of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo and an endowed member of the Conroe Masonic Lodge #748 in Conroe, TX.

Tim is the Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) operations manager with Apache Corporation and is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has over 22 years of experience in various Energy-related positions ranging from energy efficiency engineering to gas and electricity procurement. Tim currently provides technical support to Apache’s Natural Gas Commercial Development program to include: project management of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station design/construction, conversion of fleet trucks to CNG, and project management for stationary engine conversion to Natural Gas. Tim has been involved with Apache’s natural gas vehicle program since its inception in 2008 and is active in several natural gas vehicle groups including NGVAmerica, America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA), and Clean Cities.

Frank has been promoting natural gas as the alternative transportation fuel of choice for over 20 years, beginning in 1992 as the Manager of Market Development in Amoco Oil’s Alternative Transportation Fuels Business Unit. Starting in 1995, he then spent seven years in Cairo, Egypt where he established the first private/public sector partnership to commercialize natural gas as a transportation fuel.

From 2003 to 2011, he consulted on U.S. and international CNG projects. In March, 2011, Frank was appointed the Director of Natural Gas Transportation Fuels for Apache Corporation

Frank has been involved in several organizations, including: NGVAmerica Board Member, ANGA Infrastructure Task Force, “Drive Natural Gas Initiative” Steering Committee, Co-Chair-“Drive Natural Gas Initiative” Infrastructure Committee, Greater Houston NGV Alliance Board Member, Co-Chair-New Mexico NGV Coalition and member other select DOE Clean Cities Coalitions.

Tim Tiger has been with ONE Gas for 22 years holding a variety of operating and customer service field, marketing, and supervisory positions. Currently he is responsible for CNG/NGV Business Development efforts in Eastern Oklahoma for ONE Gas. Tim also assists with CNG efforts within ONE Gas distribution companies Kansas Gas Service, Oklahoma Natural Gas, and Texas Gas Service. The Business Development CNG team focuses on growing the external market through relationship development with 3rd party retail fuel providers, fleet operators, auto dealers, conversion centers, regulators, legislators, and CNG component manufacturers and vendors. Intercompany relationships with engineering/operating, rates, customer accounting, gas-supply, and governmental affairs are also critical to the continued success of CNG growth.

Pedro Santos, OsComp

Pedro Santos is the founder and Chief Technology Officer for OsComp. He conceived and invented OsComp’s near-isothermal multiphase compression technology and has pioneered the additional technological and engineering developments focused on reducing the cost of transporting gas including delivered CNG on trucks and ships. He is the primary inventor named on all of OsComp’s patent applications.

Santos has received numerous technical awards, including the Goradia Innovation Prize in 2011. OsComp has received multiple grants from the National Science Foundation and the US DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Santos has been featured in Compressor Tech and Chemical Engineering magazines; he received the Dominican Republic’s presidential award in 2012. He was named by Forbes as one of its inaugural “30 under 30” in the field of energy in December 2011.

Pedro most recently received an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Mark A. Babcock, P.E., Mark Babcock is the CNG Business Development Manager for Algas-SDI. In this role, Mark has contact with many CNG suppliers, natural gas compressor manufacturers, and CNG trailer manufacturers. Mark is responsible for determining the design needs for Algas-SDI and their CNG equipment. This includes the physical size and capacity of the units as well as the electrical usage capacity of the units.

Frank leads Volvo Trucks’ sales force education, manages the alternative fuel and specialty vehicle portfolio, advises motor carriers considering alternative fuels and represents Volvo Trucks to the trade media, conferences and special events. Frank has more than 40 years’ experience in the heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry, serving in a variety of engineering, service, marketing and sales positions and has a dynamic ability to explain complicated topics in practical terms.

He and his wife Susan reside in Greensboro, North Carolina, home to Volvo Trucks’ North American headquarters, in close proximity to their three children and two grandchildren. Frank enjoys family, trucks, bicycling and golf.

Halle Senger has been a Product Engineer for Trilogy Engineered Solutions since Trilogy started producing CNG storage/delivery systems in June 2013. She manages and helps direct the growth of current product line designs and manufacturability and is responsible for resolving quality issues in the field.

Prior to Trilogy, Halle tried her hand at entrepreneurship. She co-founded Zipstream, an engineering company focused on improving the fuel efficiency of heavy duty trucks through advanced aerodynamics.

Halle graduated from The University of Akron with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, where she co-captained the ASME Human Powered Vehicle Team. She led a team of engineers in the design, analysis, and production of an aerodynamic carbon fiber fairing for the competition vehicle.

Eight years ago Paul took the position sales Manager with Agility Fuel Systems and he has been responsible for growing both LNG & CNG systems sales in the Western United States.

Along with Paul’s role of Sales Manager he goes around the country putting on CNG Safety Classes teaching customers how to work safely with their new LNG/CNG trucks.

Leo Van Delft serves as the Transportation Program Coordinator at Tulsa Tech, which is part of the statewide CareerTech system in Oklahoma. Van Delft continues to assist in the development of an alternative fuel training program which offers part-time CNG technician certification preparation courses, a comprehensive full-time alternative fuel system training program and customized training for industry.

Tulsa Tech has taken an active role in assisting the Oklahoma Department of Central Services with curriculum and technician testing development and was the recipient of a Green Grant for student tuition waivers and training equipment from the Department of Energy.

Mr. Van Delft is also the point of contact for industry partnership development, works with the Clean Cities Coalition stakeholders in addition to out of state partners and is active with alternative fuel infrastructure development and promotion. He holds Master’s degrees from Truman State University and Oklahoma State University.

They started with their first delivery from St Joseph, MO to Fort Worth, TX in November 2013 and made their first trip from Guymon, OK to Wilmington, CA on July 1,2014. Today Seaboard travels over 500,000 miles per month consuming over 100,000 gasoline gallon equivalents of natural gas across 40 states with more than 240 confirmed fuel locations.

Herschel Hibbard is a second-generation refuse hauler and manages one of the largest CNG fleets in Oklahoma. Hibbard is a founding member of Northeast Waste Solutions, LLC – doing business as NeWSolutions. The company assumed the City of Tulsa’s residential refuse and recycling service in July 2012. Previously, he was president of H.T. Hibbard Jr. Trash Service, Inc. and a member of the board of Tulsa Refuse, Inc.

NeWSolutions operates a fleet of 40 refuse collection vehicles that are fueled with Compressed Natural Gas. The company contracts with Blue Energy Fuels to operate the state’s largest CNG fueling facility at NeWSolutions’ headquarters in Tulsa.

Krasney, who works from the company’s headquarters in Reading, Pennsylvania, has spent his entire professional career with Penske and was most recently a District Operations Manager in Atlanta.

He is Green Belt certified, has a CDL license, and earned degrees in political science and writing at Emory University in Atlanta.
