Learn about using natural gas vehicles from an executive's perspective at this lunchtime discussion among company executives, led by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin.

Mary Fallin
State of Oklahoma

Governor Mary Fallin is the Governor of Oklahoma. She also currently serves as the chair of the National Governors Association.

Prior to becoming governor, Fallin represented the people of Oklahoma in a number of state and federal positions. She served two terms as a state representative before becoming Oklahoma’s lieutenant governor in 1995. From 2006 to 2010, she served as a member of the United States House of Representatives.

As governor, Fallin has introduced the state’s first-ever comprehensive energy plan focused on developing and finding new markets for Oklahoma’s plentiful natural resources. She has partnered with 12 other states to promote a CNG vehicle initiative to U.S. auto manufacturers. Under her leadership, the State of Oklahoma has purchased more than 100 CNG vehicles and has become a national leader in NGVs.

Fallin is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.

Gary Ruettgers

Seaboard Foods

Gary Ruettgers has been the Operations Manager for Seaboard Transport for seven years and has twenty years experience in trucking industry management. Seaboard is running 60 class 8 Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles Over-the-Road. They started with their first delivery from St Joseph, MO to Fort Worth, TX in November 2013 and made their first trip from Guymon, OK to Wilmington, CA on July 1,2014. Today Seaboard travels over 500,000 miles per month consuming over 100,000 gasoline gallon equivalents of natural gas across 40 states with more than 240 confirmed fuel locations.

Steve James
Chief Financial Officer
OnCue Express

Steve James has served as CFO for OnCue for 32 years. He has also been actively involved in the alternative fuel industry since 2009. Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Steve’s industry involvement is as past president of the Oklahoma Petroleum Marketers Association and as past board member of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America. He was also a graduate of Class 1 of the Petroleum Marketers Education Foundation Leadership program as well as a graduate of Leadership Stillwater and Leadership Oklahoma. Steve has represented OnCue as a presenter at several alternative fuels conferences in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. Steve currently serves as the Finance Chair for the Oklahoma Arts Institute and as Chair of the Stillwater Board of Adjustment. He previously served on Leadership Oklahoma’s executive committee and as the Finance Chair for several terms.

Herschel HibbardHerschel Hibbard

Northeast Waste Solutions

Herschel Hibbard is a second-generation refuse hauler and manages one of the largest CNG fleets in Oklahoma. Hibbard is a founding member of Northeast Waste Solutions, LLC - doing business as NeWSolutions. The company assumed the City of Tulsa's residential refuse and recycling service in July 2012. Previously, he was president of H.T. Hibbard Jr. Trash Service, Inc. and a member of the board of Tulsa Refuse, Inc. NeWSolutions operates a fleet of 40 refuse collection vehicles that are fueled with Compressed Natural Gas. The company contracts with Blue Energy Fuels to operate the state's largest CNG fueling facility at NeWSolutions'  headquarters in Tulsa.
